2. Purpose

codes-qr.com is an online service (web app + Chrome extension) for generating, editing and tracking static and dynamic QR codes.

3. Acceptance

Using the service implies full acceptance of these Terms of Service. If you do not accept them, please do not use the service.

4. Plan descriptions

  • Free (free of charge, no commitment): unlimited static QR codes (all types, colors, logo, PNG & SVG) + 1 editable dynamic QR capped at 500 lifetime cumulative scans + 7-day statistics.
  • Starter: €9.99 per month (or €99 per year). 10 dynamic QR codes, unlimited scans, 30-day statistics, CSV export, web ↔ Chrome extension sync.
  • Pro: €24.99 per month (or €249 per year). 50 dynamic QR codes, 12-month statistics, bulk creation, REST API access (5,000 req/month), team (2 users).
  • Business: €59.99 per month (or €599 per year). 250 dynamic QR codes, unlimited statistics, extended API (50,000 req/month), team (5 users), custom domain.
  • 1 Lifetime QR: €19 one-time payment. 1 dynamic QR active and editable for life. Ideal for one-off uses (weddings, events, single posters).

All prices are in euros. VAT not applicable, art. 293 B of the French CGI (General Tax Code) β€” meaning no VAT is charged because the publisher operates under the French micro-entrepreneur VAT exemption regime. Annual subscriptions offer ~17% savings (equivalent to 2 months free). No commitment, cancellable at any time.

End-of-subscription policy: upon cancellation, your subscription remains active until the end of the paid period. Beyond that, your most-scanned QR remains active (to preserve your essential prints) and other dynamic QRs switch to a "paused" mode with a reactivation page. Your data and statistics are kept for 24 months. You can resume at any time.

5. Payment

Payments are processed by Stripe (subprocessor). No banking data is stored on our servers. A compliant invoice is automatically issued and accessible from your Stripe portal (link in your account area).

6. Right of withdrawal

In accordance with article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code (which transposes EU Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights), the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to digital content supplied on an intangible medium whose performance has begun with the consumer's prior consent. By activating your paid subscription, you expressly request that the service be provided immediately and waive your right of withdrawal.

You may nonetheless cancel your subscription (Starter, Pro or Business) at any time from your account, without notice or justification. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. The "1 Lifetime QR" plan, being a one-time payment, is not concerned by this provision.

7. Availability

We strive to keep the service available 24/7. However, no contractual SLA commitment is provided in the Free, Starter, Pro, Business and 1 Lifetime QR plans. Interruptions may occur for maintenance.

8. Prohibited uses

You agree not to use the service to:

  • Distribute illegal, counterfeit, defamatory or harmful content.
  • Carry out phishing, spam, scams or any deceptive redirection.
  • Attempt to compromise the security of the service (intrusion, mass scraping, DoS attacks).

Any breach results in immediate account suspension without refund.

9. Intellectual property

The source code, design and codes-qr.com brand remain the exclusive property of the publisher. You retain all rights to the content you create (QR codes, target URLs).

10. Liability

The service is provided "as is". The publisher cannot be held liable for indirect damages (loss of revenue, loss of customers, loss of data) arising from the use of the service. In any event, liability is limited to the amount paid over the last 12 months.

11. Personal data

Data processing is described in the privacy policy.

12. Applicable law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, and after attempting amicable resolution, French courts shall have sole jurisdiction.

13. Consumer mediation

In accordance with article L612-1 of the French Consumer Code (which requires French traders to offer consumers free access to a mediator), you may use the MEDICYS mediation service free of charge: medicys.fr. You may also use the European Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
